The importance of public information to gain and win customer’s favorable preference for a small coffee business?
Bean There is a stand-alone coffee booth in a business district office building serving a takeaway beverage. It’s a simple straightforward operation with a tiny space to fit in 2 baristas and a store supervisor daily. As a small business, it never occurred to create communication materials to introduce the coffee business better, simply because it seems an ineffective way to do so, while the coffee sales have been doing quite well. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, all businesses struggled and pivoted left and right to maintain business. Bean There lost many customers when the companies of the building tenant had to shut down or move to a different location.
The new challenge for Bean There was to gain new customers’ comfort by swinging by the booth and trying the coffee. Finally, the urgency to develop proper communication material was acknowledged by the owners. This approach was simply to re-introduce the coffee spot to new customers and win their favorable preference.
