Branding Free Commerce Startup BABACUCU.com. Seeing a lot of product give away at event promotions go to waste, a group of friends decided to create a platform as a promotion media to give away product for free while still able to get good feedback from the recipeant through this platform’s system.
Project description : One of the strategy to successful infrastructure development is to get the community involvement. By introducing what will be built, what will happened during the development, what are the benefits for the people and community after having renewable electricity along with do’s & don’t for the people to be alert while development in the progress is crucial information to be share and extremely important for both the community and developers. To help the communication to be easier to understand a set of visual aid is required, introduce and raise awareness on many aspect in relations to the PLTS development.
Project objective : To have communication tools that can be used as teaching aid / presentation aid, simple and easy to understand, can be display in public places or distribute to each household.
Challenges : These 5 villages is in remote areas, they might not expose to any visual communication the way it represented in cities. The visual communication set needs to appeal to the community so they can make sense the message with their daily life.
Process & Approach :
Assessment, identifying how will communication be conducted and what will be a suitable materials to support the activity. Research & Planning, finding out how are the village surroundings, what are the lively hoods are, looking for specific iconic culture, is there any language barrier between Indonesia language and local dialect. When all nessesary information were gathered, we decide materials to produce and treatments to take. Design, to create an integrated and visual consistancy by creating template layout & color pallette, to bring the message fun and interesting illustration were created for graphic asset. Using illustration to support message were proven effective when communicating to village community. Production & Delivery, after all the final art design were completed through several revision & tweaks production process were prepared. The choice of paper, the type of print (digital or offset), the numbers of prints, including how it needs to be package for delivery due to its purpose to be carried on baggage in an airplane.
Overall project : Communication visual sets were indeed useful for public information, community presentation as well as introducing the project to other community members. Prior to the end of the PLTS development, we were ask to create a post development information as such, how to use the electricity wisely & how to help village technician maintain the installed PLTS/Solar Power Plant.
